Why “Marigold”?

Like the healing power of the marigold flower, Marigold Music Therapy understands that

music has the unique potential to be used as a natural medium

to reach non-musical heath and wellness goals for adults at all stages of life.

Through musical exploration, creation, and connection, we realize that music therapy can:

  • Address needs not able to be met by other traditional therapies

  • Be cost-effective to agencies and facilities by lowering high medication costs

  • Utilize the strength of intrinsic motivation to accomplish difficult tasks, rather than focus on extrinsic rewards

  • Reduce hospital length-of-stays

  • Reach and connect people in a unique & meaningful way

  • Create life-lasting impacts on lives of individuals, families, and communities served
